Stoneware, white feldspatic glaze with temmoku type glaze

Height: 17

Diameter: 10

The neck of this bottle is glazed with white feldspathic glaze and the body with temmoku-type glaze. The color of temmoku transitions from light olive to typical dark amber – it’s a result of direct exposure to flame and ash in the kiln. This type of bottle is traditionally used for sake, but can also serve as a vase.
