Earthenware, unglazed

Height: 11 cm

Width: 10 cm

A small box made using the kurinuki technique, a traditional Japanese hand-carving method that involves hollowing out a solid block of clay. Perfect for storing spices, tea, incense, or small objects. The exterior is glazed, while the interior remains unglazed. The flame marks visible on the surface of black pottery result from the firing process, during which the piece is exposed to direct flames. This creates unique patterns that enhance its visual appeal.
